Safe Hands is a family owned funeral directors, owned by Penny Strachan, with a desire to provide
a professional service with sincere and genuine care.
Safe Hands was opened in order to be able to offer local families and individuals a personal and affordable funeral service. Concerned by my experience within the funeral industry and how money driven many funeral directors are, my aim is to provide a quality service individually tailored to your needs, ensuring the very best care of the person who has passed away. No cost cutting, no exorbitant mark ups on coffins, no additional charge for visiting and spending time with your loved one.

We highly recommend Safe Hands very very highly. From start to finish Penny and her colleagues have treated us with great care and sensitivity. Our mother died just before the outbreak of the Coronavirus and it has therefore been particularly challenging to deal with arrangements for the funeral. On behalf of myself and my family - My Dad sadly passed away recently from Covid-19. We were fortunate enough to find Penny at Safe Hands Funeral Services who helped and guided us through arranging Dad's funeral at this incredibly difficult time. Penny is so kind and thoughtful and was always available to talk to us. The chapel was lovely,it was bright and warm and had a really comforting feel to it. There was only 5 of us that could attend but Safe Hands arranged a special Zoom meeting where wider family and friends could join us.
